Darla began Clearwater Writing in 1992 and has more than 20 years of experience as a communications consultant. Before entering consulting, she held corporate management positions for 13 years in both benefits administration and benefits communication with The Greyhound/Dial Corporation, Gulf Oil Corporation and Joy Manufacturing Company. With her dual experience, Darla brings a unique perspective to communication solutions and an understanding of the issues faced by benefit professionals. A Penn State lifetime alumna, Darla splits her time between our Phoenix home office and our Pittsburgh office.

Senior Vice President
Shelly leads the Personalized Communications practice at Clearwater Writing. With more than 10 years of experience in benefits and compensation communications, Shelly has expertise in strategy and planning, change communication, HR programs and processes, survey development and analysis and more. In addition, Shelly has extensive experience in writing for the web. Shelly holds both the CEBS and CMS designation. After eight years with Deloitte & Touche, Shelly joined Clearwater Writing in May 2004 as a Vice President and Senior Consultant.

Vice President
Jude leads the Web and Portal Development Practice at Clearwater Writing. He also is an integral part of personalized communications projects, leading the data compilation and integration process. His areas of expertise include portals, surveys, online calculators and collaboration management. Usability and user acceptance testing are some additional areas of interest. Jude is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has worked for Mercer HR and Deloitte.

Associate Consultant
Branden has more than nine years of experience in both corporate benefits administration and communications. She’s involved in our summary plan descriptions, annual enrollments and plan rollouts. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Branden is currently working toward her CEBS designation.
